Building zoo projects together

Zoobase is a community effort to combine great ideas, passionate individuals and valuable resources (such as IT infrastructure, domain knowledge, etc.) into projects that aim to drive acceptance and understanding of zoosexuality, as well as creating any tools and spaces that our community members might need.

Base: Something from which other things extend; a foundation.

Zoobase: A community effort that provides a base in form of shared resources, ideas and people for the creation and growth of zoo-oriented projects and tools.

More specifically, our world-view encompasses zoosexuality as an orientation part of the LGBTQ+ umbrella as it is inherently queer, is a full-fledged sexual orientation that will very often include predominant romantic and/or emotional aspects (not just sexual or sometimes even asexually!), and can be lived out in healthy and responsible manners that emphasize love and frequently constitute a core part of a person's identity.

We do not tolerate bigotry or LGBTQ+phobia and we feel compelled to defend and stand up for other sexual and gender identity minorities, not only because it's the right thing to do but because we also feel strongly about making sure that LGBTQ+ individuals (with special mention to transgender people who are often unjustly excluded) feel safe within our community spaces.

Zoobase is currently not public and can't be joined unless you know who to contact or have been asked for assistance. This page exists to give you an overview in case you've stumbled upon one of our links, domains or subdomains.
